The Campofrio Food Group, a prominent Spanish multinational food company decided to apply mastic asphalt with Selenizza in 2019 in a pig slaughterhouse in the city of Burgos. The works were carried out by by the Company Clunia Asfaltos fondidos SL. The mastic asphalt provided hardness and resistance to wear, and corrosion caused by the feet of the animals (8500 pigs/day) guaranteeing the continuation of operations without stopping the production and outperforming all other competitive products such resin, concrete, etc., whose resistance was not sufficient to avoid the damages to the floor.
